Maisy Aykroyd
We are delighted to announce our inaugural prize for Emerging Print Maker 2025 goes to Maisy Aykroyd a Norwich/Cambridge based botanical artist who graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts in summer 2025. Her work features vulnerable and emotive themes including love, grief, commemoration, personal heritage & loss. Inspired by the ancient Japanese practice of Ikebana, she combines her passion for flower arranging with photography and printmaking to create highly detailed, intricate imagery. Maisy uses this as a cathartic means of honouring and connecting with her loved ones – especially those she has lost through their collective appreciation for the natural world. She hopes to provide a quiet space for transient reflection, encouraging mindfulness, healing, and spiritual growth.
