My print work is informed by my use of mixed media, the discipline I have been working in for over a decade. My interpretation of collograph printing is to conjure up the essence of a world controlled by cogs and gears, and the sense of fluid movement I see when I work with the printmaking equipment. Embossing, turning, pushing, pulling and pressing are all processes used in producing the final works of art. I do not dwell on technical terms, instead feeling most comfortable observing the print process in operation. The method I work to is to make each idea appear to lift from the paper, enabling the viewer to visualise printmaking as work that is not exclusively two-dimensional.
