Lacey Law
I am a Norfolk born Printmaker and Tattooer. I began working with woodcut whilst studying at NUA in 2014, and since starting tattooing in 2018, have shared my time equally between the two mediums. Both informing one another constantly and sharing many parallels, they form the core of my practice as a working artist.
My primary inspirations are the natural world, romance and storytelling. I identify greatly with the Pre-Raphaelite and Arts and Crafts movements, and the idea of ‘beauty for beauty’s sake’, I create maximalist compositions, filled with florid ornament, captivating creatures and thoughtful words, invoking feelings of comfort, nostalgia and inspiration.
In February 2025 I opened ‘The Eyrie’, a private print and tattoo studio on St Augustine’s Street. I sell limited print editions monthly online, and often sell in person at print fairs and conventions, such as the St Augustine’s Christmas Fayre, Print Party, Fierce Babe Makers Market, and all major UK tattoo conventions. In May 2025 I spent a week as artist in residence at the Norwich Print Museum at Blickling Hall, where I hand set two A4 letterpress texts, carved my ‘Blickling Buzzards’ block, and printed the first edition on their magnificent Columbian Press.
