Artist Statement

Having graduated last year from Norwich School of Art and Design with a degree in Illustration, I only really started printmaking in my final year in which I concentrated mainly on screenprinting and collagraphs.

My work since leaving university has focused on the latter and would probably be classified more as fine art rather than illustration. This work has been inspired by mechanical diagrams and Russian poster art and has resulted in prints that have a very graphic quality about them.

My work in general varies enormously in subject matter, technique and materials used, however my emphasis being on experimentation and the exploration of surfaces and texture.
