The Norwich Print Fair Application Guidelines
The Norwich Print Fair is an annual exhibition which takes place for two weeks every September at St Margaret's Church, Norwich. The exhibitions aim is to showcase high quality original prints. Selection takes place in early February for the next show and therefore we need applications by January 31st.
Here are a few things you should know before applying.
- Artist applying must be currently living and working in Norfolk or North Suffolk.
- The Artists fee is £55. For this you are provided with a space measuring approximately 8 foot wide to hang your work.
- There is no commission on work sold.
- You will have to hang and take down your own work. This always takes place on the Sunday before the exhibition and work is taken away at the end of the last Saturday.
- You will be expected to participate on the 2 Saturdays (open portfolio days)
- You are also expected to do at least 1 full day or 2 half days, of week day invigilation.
- For a small one off fee of £11.50 you get the opportunity to be on the Norwich Print Fair’s website.
- We do not accept digital prints, giclees or photographs, i.e. prints should be hand pulled.
To apply you can either:
- Email up to six jpegs of your work and send them to register@norwichprintfair.co.uk
- If you can only post your work (good quality photographs / inkjet prints or as jpegs on CD) then please ask us for contact details of where to send.
Please remember to provide:
- The title, print process, and image size
- Your contact details.
- Any other information you would like us to know such as your CV or artists statement as well as any recent exhibitions you have been involved with.
Applicants will usually hear around March/April whether they have been selected.
