Artist Statement
I am a landscape artist who draws strongly from direct observation of the natural world. I am more influenced by the realist rather than naturalist traditions and I reserve the right to change, transform and transpace in the search for the essential in any particular place.

My work is known most widely through aquatint etchings, often involving complex inkings on two plates. I have also recently started to make collagraphs, which are often editioned in varying inkings as a series of monoprints.

Although I have given up regular teaching commitments in favour of more studio time I still like to offer day, weekend and similar residential workshops.
